Value on a good one usually has asking price of $125. to $150.
They look real similar to the 194 plow that the cub uses, but are not interchangeable.---the cub has straight beam and the A has the offset in the hitch end of the beam! thanks; sonny

Hi Travis,
The value of the plow is what You want it for, If it is for resale then Sonny pretty much covered it dollar wise. I just finished a post this morning about the
added value the implements bring to the table when collecting, showing or using Your tractor. The plow is certainly worth more than the scrap price You were lucky enough to pick it up for.
Nice find

I am not sure how to tell the actual age, but generally those types of tools were delivered with a new tractor. If it were possible to trace down the original owner of the plow then it can be determined when the plow was purchased. That can be like finding a penny you dropped 20 years ago. not impossible but highly improbable. My first tractor was a 1939 John Deere H. It was 15 years before the name of the owner was discovered, I have that name and will never forget that My tractor is 3086 and the owner was Carl Cline, Creston
Ohio.

The Farmall A tractor was made from 1939---1947 and Super A 1947---1954, so you have quite a span that it could have been made! As Frank posted equipment of any kind is rarely ever able to be dated.(tractors have serial # tags, equipment only has model # at best)
Your style plow looks to be a model 194, for an A tractor. I have a 194 for a Cub tractor, but they are NOT interchangeable between the two models.,---different bottoms and beams. thanks; sonny

Another thing I forgot to ask is Did you get the rest of the plow???---in the pics I don't see the depth lever or the linkage that goes from the lever to the drawbar! ---To mount the plow, you have to take your standard drawbar off and turn it around to face forward and re-install it.--plow bolts to the right side and lever bolts to final drive housing with 2 bolts.--lever sticks in between right tire and fender.---a short bar goes from lever to an eye bolt that you attach to the reversed drawbar and controls the front of the plow. (cant use plow without either lever or the link)---in the pic there is an extra piece of iron that is not part of the plow and would need to be re-moved. thanks; sonny

Will see if this drawing will post.It shows a Cub mounting, but the same idea applies to the A mounting, just bigger parts shaped a little different!

one chain on your beam is the lift chain that goes up to the rock shaft to lift the back of the plow.--- the other chain is the side-sway limiter that bolts to the right final. (keeps plow from sliding to the left).
The flat bar on yours id not part of the plow, also the small front pieces are not part of the plow. (someone has tried to use the plow on some other tractor, and conjered up some iron in an attempt to mount it)
your drawbar has to be turned around and facing forward to mount the plow, in the pic it wont mount with drawbar in that position.
The depth control lever has to go on the front side of the right final and stick up between tire and fender. (if tractor has oversized tires, you cant use the plow no matter what!) thanks; sonny
